Debt Settlement Agreement Sample (US)
Parties:
Debtor: John Doe
Address: 1234 Elm Street, Springfield, IL 62704
Creditor: XYZ Collections Inc.
Address: 5678 Maple Avenue, Springfield, IL 62701
Debt Description:
The debtor acknowledges owing the creditor a total amount of $10,000 arising from credit card debts, as of the date of this agreement, and agrees to settle the debt under the terms specified herein.
Settlement Terms:
The creditor agrees to accept a lump sum payment of $7,000, payable by the debtor within 30 days of signing this agreement, in full settlement of the debt. Upon receipt, the creditor agrees to release the debtor from any further claims related to this debt.
Debtor Responsibilities:
The debtor shall make the agreed settlement payment in full within the specified timeframe. The debtor warrants that the funds are legally obtained and will ensure the payment is made as agreed.
Governing Law:
